SUSAN WALTON
FINE ART

I have been an active artist for most of my adult life. Studying at LaGrange College piqued my interest in painting and drawing. While in undergraduate studies, I spent eight
life-changing months studying art in Italy.
I had a career in design before acquiring my Georgia State art teacher certification.
I taught art for many years in public schools, church, and home studio.
I work predominantly with acrylic and water color.
I am inspired by nature—plants and flowers, landscapes. Color, light, shadows, and texture are important elements. My use of palette knife, large brushes, and dripping paint create a bold or mystical mood.
